Talebearing24- A Friend Fell From A Tall Tree

A childhood friend of mine in my neighborhood called Kingley going to the same school and attending the same church with me could not forget a day he fell from a mango tree not too far from my dwelling. Kingsley and I used to go to school together in the morning and waited for each other after closing hour so that we could come home together being the fact that we were living in the same neighborhood and our parents because of us were also friends.
I could remember vividly we were in Senior Secondary School 1 then when we noticed that there was a tall mango tree not far from my house. Then was the season of mango, apart from the mango trees that we used to visit after school hour to pluck the ripe ones, we also paid visit to the nearby ones. Sometimes, we went to pluck ripe mango on our way home and ate all so that we would not be suspicious and beaten. This did not affect our house chores even my friend used to hawk after school hour while I would wash dirty plates we used in the morning when rushing to school. This was how we were plucking the ripe mangoes around without the consent of our parents.
One day, I did not go to school because I was ill but Kingsley went and on his way home, he branched at the mango tree not too far from my house to pluck the ripe mangoes. On getting there, he saw three ripe mangoes at the top of the trees, he continuously threw sticks to them but he could not get them, then he decided to climb this tree and found his way to the top of the tree where these ripe mangoes were hung not knowing that what was good was not meant for a single person. When he got there, he met a snake and he was seriously scared therefore rushing down from the tree but because he was frightened, one of his hands missed the tree and he fell. When he got down, he even thought he was dead because the tree branches with the leaves beat him mercilessly on his way down but he was able to walk again with his eyes red and his school uniform dirty and torn.
I was outside the house when he was coming from this mango tree and narrated his ordeal. What a pity!

Talebearing24- No Experience Is Lost!

Honeybee is believed to be a dangerous flying insect while the honey extracted from the honeycomb where the honeybee lives is very sweet and performs a lot of medicinal purposes. Honey is consumed raw or diluted and in refined form. Honeycomb is found in the hollow cavity of a tree where they believe that it is hidden from human beings and their activities. I personally had never seen the honeycomb before until the day we found one in the hole of a cut tree by the operator. It started like a play on this day, he was felling trees as usual and it was getting dark before we noticed that the last tree he fell had honeycomb full of honey as well as the bees at the top of the tree.
Immediately this tree fell, the bees started flying around to sting any animal that came their way in order to prevent their home. Initially, we had been told to remove our top to prevent the entry of the bees into our clothes. The operator told us to look for a big and clean bucket, this was around 18:45hours. He gathered some dry logs of wood and set it on fire very close to the place where the honeycomb was hidden in the tree in order to drive away the flying bees so that we could extract the honeycomb.
Because of the heat, the operator could not use the bare hand to draw the honeycomb into the metal bucket but the cutlass instead while we were at a distance watching the process and later I personally moved

Talebearing24- Childhood Ugly Experience In My Neighbourhood

There were lots of enjoyment and sadness in my childhood. Many moments were interesting and good to be remembered while some were so pathetic to be forgotten. Although, I had learnt my lessons but I can't do without recollecting what had happened then. For instance, there was a day during our struggling time as boys in my neighborhood; we went to do a menial job in order to keep body and soul together outside the city and at the same time to help our parents with little expenses. Whereas that was not the first time of going out for such outing but this particular day will never be erased from my memory.
This type of menial job was a lumbering form. Matured trees were found in the outskirt of the State so we traveled many kilometers away from the city. The amount of money each person made per trip depended on the number of sliced planks each person was able to carry from where they were sliced to the place where they would be transported to the market with respect to the distance. As usual, we met the sliced

Talebearing24- Nemesis Caught Up With Him!

A man reaped the fruit of his misdeeds when he was out of service. An immigration officer who killed a man because of money at a spot had his biological son killed at the same spot. An immigration officer with his friend in the service used to go on road checks where they would abandon their rightful responsibilities for the society for their own personal gains. The businessmen and women that plied this road had known them very well for their corrupt perpetration. On one fateful day, this man and his friend were on duty as usual, around mid-day, a car coming from border had a ghastly accident. The driver of the car died immediately leaving the only man in the car with him in a state of coma, but instead of rushing this man to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention, they decided to kill him because of his briefcase that was full of foreign currency. They saw it as a "golden opportunity" for them to be rich. They dispossessed the man of his money

Talebearing24 - Royalty's Testing

Once upon a time, there was an average man, Ben a farmer, who believed in the importance attached to giving. Whenever he was giving out from the little he had, he would do it wholeheartedly. Even, people around him used to make jest of him because of his state of insufficiency. While Ben did not look at their side but continued with what he was doing to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged.
Many a times, his wife fought with him on his candid philanthropy that was adversely affecting his home but he used to tell her to be patient and he knew what he was doing with the hope that God in heaven would cater and provide for their immediate and futuristic needs. That's how Ben was living his life.
One day, the king instructed the town crier to go around and tell everyone in the village to assemble at his palace in the sunset time this day for an important message. The town crier did as he was ordered and emphasized that the domesticated rats should hear and tell the bush rats! Everybody must assemble in the palace as ordered! Then the town crier went his way to the palace after delivering the message.
In the evening, as ordered by the king, everybody had assembled in the palace waiting patiently for the king because no one could dare the order of the king. Few minutes later, the king with his queens came out from the palace to relay the message he had for them so that they could quickly disperse to their various abodes. He said; I was expecting august visitors from our neighboring villages and i needed someone that could voluntarily donate all his or her farm produce in the farm for him: villagers were looking at their faces because they did not expect this kind of selfish request from their king. The weather of the palace was quietly calm, suddenly! Ben rose up from where he was seating and volunteered to donate all his farm produce to the king.
The other villagers including his wife were seriously staring at him as a foolish man not knowing the king was testing their loyalty and candid generosity. Then the king asked him for the last time if he had finally made up his mind and he said; yes. The King quickly stood up and said he would divide all his belongings into two equal halves and give one part to Ben for his generosity and giving spirit.  Immediately, the king rushed into the palace's hut. All the villagers present in the palace were seriously astonished for what they heard from their king. And they all went to their various abodes. Even Ben could not believe what the king said but later re-thought that the king would never assemble the entire villagers for such an expensive joke.
Two days later, the king's servants from the palace brought many baskets of king's belongings to Ben's hut as promised. That was how Ben and his family reaped the fruit of his giving and became prosperous and famous in this village.
