Once upon a time, there was a girl and her brother attending the same army school. As we all know that soldiers are great disciplinarians. It had been their usual act to brutalize any student that came late to school every morning before school morning devotion. Sometimes, they would ask the offenders to do frog jump, crawling, running on stones barefooted, rolling on the floor, washing the school toilet, beating the offenders on the tongues and fore- fingers and the likes.
These barbaric, inhumane and painful attitudes of the soldiers made the students to fear them seriously beyond imagination and expectation. Therefore, they came to school in time to avoid any brutality but there was no way students would not be caught coming late to school every morning and they went through these uncivilized punishments from their hands. The older the students, the harder the punishments given to the students. These behaviours were habitual and the students accepted their fate.
On one fateful morning, a boy called Richard with his younger sister, Bukky came late to
school unintentionally because this was as a result of unavailability of transport fare that morning. This morning, the students were separated by class. One of the soldiers asked Richard to stretch out his tongue, after then he told Richard that he would be given five strokes of cane on his tongue. His sister, Bukky thought that this soldier was joking but when he gave him the first one, second one, her body could not hold it again, blood is thicker than water, therefore she bit the soldier that was beating her brother at the buttock. That soldier did not know when he threw away the cane he was using, everybody around burst into laughter because that soldier in question made loud noise when Bukky was biting him and Bukky was still crying after the deed.
In a twinkle of an eye, the hilarious news had been widespread to the nook and cranny of the school while the other students that had not served their punishments were discharged in a hurry. Everybody in the school wanted to know that girl that was so courageously bold to bite a soldier when punishing her brother. Bukky became famous ironically and became a talk of the school; this made many teachers to like her. Since then, no matter what her brother, Richard did in the school premises; he would be pardoned because they did not want her sister to bite them. This was how both Richard and Bukky became unbeatable throughout their stay in primary school. What a funny and real life story!
